Dining in Disneyland: Holiday Treats

Our Disneyland columnist, Heather Sievers, is back with some photos of Holiday treats in Disneyland! Be sure to check out her other posts in her Dining in Disneyland column.

Holiday and Christmas Treats in Disney World

Yep — Christmas has come to Disney World! It showed up around Wednesday of last week and hasn’t shown any signs of slowing!

Lucky for you and me, my Mom and Dad are in Disney World this week and I’ve been getting a steady feed of photos sent to the coffer each day!

So here are some of the Christmas- and holiday-themed goodies you can enjoy in Walt Disney World this season. (By they way, this is by no means an extensive list; I’ll be heading to WDW in early December to capture even more holiday snacks on camera as they come available. I can’t wait to see what Karamell Kuche will do…)

While walking through the Animal Kingdom in October I came across a couple of new (to me!) snack spots on the path between Asia and Africa!

With one snack spot serving corn dog nuggets and chicken nuggets (well call this “The Nugget Shack”) and the other — directly across the way — countering with a menu of shrimp and pork egg rolls and vegetable egg rolls (I’ve deemed this “The Roll Shack,”) it’s almost like a Food Wars set-up! Corn Dog Nuggets are legendary in WDW; egg rolls are the snack of the future. Which menu will you pick…?

Disneyland Halloween Treats

Heather Sievers, the multi-talented inventor of Time Out Spots AND our Disneyland correspondent and food expert, headed over to Marceline Confectionery to check out some Halloween treats!

A trip to Downtown Disney in Anaheim is never complete without a visit to Marceline’s Confectionery. Named after Walt Disney’s hometown, this yummy paradise has everything your sweet tooth desires. We usually go for the chocolate chip cookies, but this time of the year, we can’t resist the Halloween treats.

Quick Bite: Epcot’s Joy of Tea

Not too long ago, a kiosk called Joy of Tea popped up in Epcot across from the beautiful China pavilion. I knew the little red pagoda sold several different kinds of tea, but I had no idea of the extent of the fun and interesting menu!

Churros are quickly joining popcorn, Mickey Premium Bars, Dole Whip Floats, and Mickey Pretzels as one of the go-to snacks in Walt Disney World and Disneyland!
