February is almost over, and usually that would mean the end of the slow season in Disney World and the beginning of Spring Break crowds…but not this year!

Big yikes, y’all!

This year, there have been unusually high crowds in the parks during the “slow” season, and it seems as if things are just getting busier. This week was particularly busy, probably due to President’s Day Weekend, the start of the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, AND some schools around the country being on their Winter Breaks. There’s no way to sugarcoat it — it’s been very busy in Disney World lately.

Which is pretty WEIRD for January and February! We expect to see big crowds on long weekends, but there’s been a lot of people in the parks pretty consistently. This appears to have affected the wait times, so if you’re going to Disney World soon, you need to be aware of how long you might spend standing in line. Isn’t waiting in line at Disney World just SO much fun?! Yeah, we know…it’s definitely a love-hate relationship. You get to look at the cool queues at a lot of the rides, but you also can spend a lot of your day in lines, which isn’t super fun.
