Years ago, Disney announced that an Ashoka TV series would be coming to Disney+, but it wasn’t until last year that we got a sneak peek at the series. Now, Disney has finally released a trailer AND release date for the new series!
We’ve been gearing up for MONTHS for one big show on Disney+, and now it’s finally here!

Star Wars fans around the world have been waiting for the release of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and we’ve been pretty pumped too, thanks to the trailers, the new merchandise, and all the hype that the show got at this past weekend’s Star Wars Celebration event. But the fanbase for the show is most evident in the statistics, and its premiere is already breaking some big records!
Happy Star Wars Day, everyone! We’re checking out all kinds of May the 4th celebrations today, like new treats in the Disney parks, free VR experiences in Disney Springs, and several limited-time PhotoPass Magic Shots. But just now, Disney released possibly the BEST way to celebrate this holiday.

And while we’re preparing to celebrate the release of this new Star Wars series on May 27th, 2022, Ewan McGregor (who plays Obi-Wan Kenobi), has been celebrating something else!

We got a TON of new announcements at Disney’s Virtual Investors Day in December about upcoming projects. Since then, the new Pixar film Soul released on Disney+, as well as the first Marvel series, WandaVision. We also got to watch the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, and even though it has only been a few weeks, they’re already prepping for season 3!Â
Disney+ subscribers who also happen to be Star Wars fans have a BIG reason to rejoice today!
