We’ve paid yet ANOTHER visit to one of Disney World’s newest restaurants!
Steakhouse 71
Steakhouse 71 opened on Disney World’s 50th Anniversary earlier this year and WOWED us with a classy new look in what used to be The Wave….of American Flavors Restaurant. The spot really reinvented itself with AMAZING food. We had a particular goal with our recent stop though, to see how a few off-menu options held up!
One of the newest restaurants in Disney World is Steakhouse 71, located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

The restaurant’s theme is a nod to Disney World’s opening in 1971, and the decorations, artwork, and furniture reflect that time period in an upscale but nostalgic way. We’ve eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Steakhouse 71 now, plus we visited the lounge to try some bites and drinks there. So when is the BEST time to eat at this new spot? Steakhouse 71 is a new restaurant that is set to open tomorrow (October 1st) in the former location of The Wave…of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, just in time for the start of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration! The restaurant is themed after 1971, the opening year of Walt Disney World.

Thanks to a special media preview event, we were able to dine at this new restaurant for lunch today and now we’re bringing you a full review with all of our thoughts on what this new spot has to offer!
