Another month has come and gone in Disney World! Can you believe we’re only two months away from 2022? Seriously…where has 2021 gone?! Before we can dive headfirst into the holiday season (we’ve already made our holiday season treats list and checked it twice!), we have to revisit our top and bottom picks for the food and drink items we tried in the month of October!

The restaurant’s theme is a nod to Disney World’s opening in 1971, and the decorations, artwork, and furniture reflect that time period in an upscale but nostalgic way. Disney World’s 50th Anniversary brought us a LOT of excitement, and one of our favorites was probably the brand-new table service restaurant at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. What can we say? We love Disney food.

The restaurant replaced The Wave that used to be in the hotel’s lobby, and the 71 refers to the opening year of Disney World (and the Contemporary). If you’ve been keeping up with us, you know that we’ve really enjoyed the food at this new spot — we’ve tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and had positive experiences overall. But, there’s one more experience to be had at the restaurant — eating in the lounge! So, come along with us as we check out if the lounge is up to par with the rest of Steakhouse 71.
