It’s almost SUMMER!!!!
And we’re so excited to spend our long summer days eating ice cream, hitting up Blizzard Beach, and sitting at home in our air conditioning watching Disney+.
When it comes to great TV shows AND movies, Disney+ has a treasure trove of content!
Not only do we get access to some great NEW movies, like Soul and Raya and the Last Dragon, but we’ve really enjoyed watching original content like The Mandalorian, WandaVision, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. But there is SO much more to Disney+ than just the big Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel content!
We’ve been pretty impressed with the latest sand sculpture creations that we’ve seen over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Seriously, it’s impressive to see Disney artists turn tons of sand into something beautiful. They did it for Raya and the Last Dragon and most recently for the upcoming Disney+ series Secrets of the Whales.
Ever since Marvel fans first saw Natasha Romanoff in The Avengers, they have clamored for a solo Black Widow film. And now, it’s on the way!
Black Widow was originally scheduled to release earlier last year, but then it got delayed until November due to the global health crisis, which closed many movie theaters. As the situation progressed, Disney delayed the release again until 2021.
Disney artists create some pretty awesome things. We’ve watched them create realistic-looking chalk art in real-time and even paint portraits of Mickey ridiculously quickly.
Earlier this year, we saw artists turn a 40-ton pile of sand into a sculpture dedicated to Raya and the Last Dragon. And it was so incredible, we’re still wondering how they did it. Now, we’ve got another sand creation to marvel at in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Star Wars fans: we’ve got BIG news!
There’s lots of exciting stuff coming to Disney+, but we’re waiting patiently for Disney’s new Obi-Wan Kenobi series (seriously, we are SO ready). We’ve already learned that Hayden Christiansen will be reprising his role as Darth Vader — he played the role in 2 of the 3 prequel films. And Ewan McGregor will star in the series, too! But today, we got even MORE casting news.
Because of the pandemic, things have truly changed when it comes to movies. Some have indicated that the movie-going experience may never look the same again.
But, as they say, when one door closes (even temporarily), another door opens…and that door goes by the name Disney+! With over 100 MILLION subscribers, Disney+ has really reached some major milestones, and it’s about to reach another. After significant delays, Marvel’s next upcoming superhero movie, Black Widow, will be making its premiere on Disney+ on the same date that it is released in theaters! [Read more…]
Although we’re still mourning the end of WandaVision, a brand NEW Marvel series has officially premiered on Disney+!
That series is The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and we’re already starting to see some merchandise (and food) dedicated to the series, including a cake (YES, a cake!) and some new EXCLUSIVE Captain America pins!
It seems like it was a LONG time ago when Disney first announced The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series coming to Disney+!
Initially, the series was supposed to debut in fall of last year, but because of the global health crisis, it got delayed. But the premiere episode airs THIS WEEK and Disney is now releasing lots of clips and teasers!
Disney World has made some significant changes over the past year in its parks, hotels, and more.
One of the biggest changes has been in Disney’s entertainment. Last year, Disney even reorganized part of its businesses to make streaming the primary focus of its entertainment. Disney is also investing LOTS into Disney+. As Disney continues to adapt and evolve, and the situation with the pandemic and its parks develops, we’re left to wonder…is Disney+ the future of for the Walt Disney Company?Â
