Over the weekend, there was STILL a way to book a non-DVC room on Disney property for the reopening of Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11th and the reopening of Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 15th. Guests could go through Mariott’s website and book a room at The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin resorts.
THEN, the Swan and Dolphin’s website was updated to state that both resorts will remain closed through July 29th.
With the exception of DVC members, Disney World has stopped accepting new reservations for its hotels while it gets ready to unveil a brand new reservation system.

But over the weekend, we discovered there was still a way to book a room at Disney World! That no longer seems to be the case.
Update: As of June 8th, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin’s Website now states the resort will remain closed through July 29th, 2020.

On top of new dining stipulations at the resorts and the virtual chat option on My Disney Experience for guests, stays at the hotels are about to see some huge changes when they re-open. But if you don’t currently have a hotel reservation, Disney World Resort currently isn’t accepting new ones.
Now that Disney World has dropped a bombshell of updates to their policies regarding their July 11th reopening date, there’s a lot of confusion going around!

Following the announcement that a new reservation system will be needed to gain access to the parks,  all previously booked Fastpass+, dining reservations, and Disney Dining Plans have been canceled, many guests are now left wondering if they’re even ELIGIBLE to gain access to the parks when they reopen. Minnie Vans have just extended their airport shuttle service to some Disney World area hotels!
Disney offers an assortment of discounts including Annual Passholder, Military, and Florida Resident discounts. These discounts are often for rooms, tickets, and food — all of which are crazy expensive when visiting Walt Disney World. And who doesn’t love saving money right?
