There are some Disney restaurants and snacks we absolutely adore, but there are plenty of others that…well, we don’t recommend you spend your money on. And we’re here today to warn you about a popular table service restaurant in the parks — DON’T waste your time and money at Be Our Guest Restaurant!
Listen, we here are DFB love Disney food, but there are some restaurants that we don’t recommend.

And we don’t mean because the food isn’t good (although that is the case sometimes), but some table service restaurants can take up a TON of your time in the parks, and if you’re visiting for a short amount of time, you don’t want to spend hours inside of one restaurant. Here are the restaurants we recommend avoiding in Disney World because they take up so much time!
Disney World hotels have some of the absolute best restaurants on property.
Disney’s Grand Floridian
From ‘Ohana to Boma to Topolino’s Terrace and more, plenty of our favorite Disney World eateries can be found at the hotels. Trust us, some of these spots are even worth going out of your way for, and if you’re planning an upcoming trip — there’s a closure you might want to know about.
Dining at Disney World can be a little tricky, especially if you’re choosing to do some table service meals.
Be Our Guest Restaurant
Table service restaurants are dining spots that require Advance Dining Reservations that can be made up to 60 days in advance. However, sometimes plans change in the parks and you realize you won’t be able to make it to your reservation. Most restaurants will allow you to cancel within two hours of your dining window, but there are some exceptions that you NEED to know about so you don’t get charged!
Some of the busiest weekends in Disney World are when there’s a runDisney race going on in the parks!

During those weekends, you can expect to see big crowds, long wait times, and packed hotels throughout Disney World as runners come down to race and then celebrate their achievements in the theme parks. Whether you’re running or not, we recommend seriously planning ahead so that your trip isn’t made up entirely of waiting in long lines and fighting through crowds. Welcome to the Walt Disney World restaurants! You won’t find anything “typical” around here. Not only do these restaurants boast unique themeing, many are known for creative menus, special diet options, and friendly servers.
San Angel Inn, EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion
Expect the same kind of theming and fantasy you’ll find in the rest of the theme parks and resorts, along with some incredible (and some not so incredible – we’re just being honest) food. Ranging from pizza and burgers to five-star cuisine, Disney restaurants can fit any palate.
When it comes to dining, there’s a HUGE problem in EPCOT.

Okay, there are a few problems. First, picking a place to eat — EPCOT has SO many good restaurants. Do you want to have a meal in space or maybe chow down on some German food with German entertainment? But even after you make that decision, the other problem is this: some of these places are hard to get advance dining reservations. But we have a hack!
We’ve all been there — we’re up at 5:30AM, 60 days before our Disney World trip, waiting for 6AM to hit so that we can book those coveted dining reservations at all of our favorite Disney restaurants. We have our list ready of all the most important spots to hit, and then — FINALLY — it’s time! We search for open reservation times…and search…and search…and then that sinking feeling starts to creep in.
