While we wait for Governor Ron DeSantis to release his re-opening Florida outline (which he is expected to announce today) Disney World has started sending out another round of emails to more guests (last week, the company sent out emails for those with reservations through May 16th), informing them the parks will be closed until further notice.
These notifications are being sent out to guests who had bookings during the week of May 17th through 23rd, 2020.
While Shanghai Disneyland Park has been temporarily shut down since late January, we’re starting to see some sparks of life returning to the far-away park across the sea! On March 9th, Shanghai Disneyland partially reopened to guests and began offering limited shopping, dining, and recreational experiences at Disneytown, Wishing Star Park, and Shanghai Disneyland Hotel.
While the park itself remains closed for the time being, last week Shanghai Disneyland began conducting simulations to try out their new health and safety measures(you can read more about some of the safety measures here). Now it looks like the park is testing out its nighttime fireworks spectacular, Ignite the Dream!
