We have been LOVING the Taste of EPCOT Food and Wine Festival!
And we’ve been even MORE thrilled with it ever since more food booths opened up this weekend!
The weekend is HERE, and there’s no better way to celebrate this Saturday than with new Food and Wine snacks and treats (can we get an amen??).
While the A Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival has taken elements of the Flower and Garden Festival that was cut short this year, we haven’t seen too many Food and Wine festivities happening in the parks. But, this week we got a sneak peek at the specially themed merchandise that would be coming to the parks, as well as more food booths across EPCOT.
Walt Disney World’s EPCOT reopened to guests today, and along with the reopening of the park itself came the kickoff of the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival!
And as we’ve been eating our way around every single Festival Marketplace in World Showcase (and World ShowPlace — which you can check out here), we couldn’t help but notice a couple of additional food booths that are NOT serving guests or even mentioned on the list of this year’s booths… yet. Now that we know Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival will be returning (in a modified and slightly smaller [but LONGER!] form), we’re looking forward to seeing which food booths will be returning!
Disney has told us a Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will feature 20 signature global marketplaces and will “continue into the fall” making it Epcot’s longest festival of ALL TIME! But with only 20 slots to fill, some of our favorite food booths won’t be coming back this year!
We’re daydreaming of our next trip to the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival!
When it comes to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, we’re constantly impressed by the awesome menu items Disney brings to the table — literally! Every year we put together our Best of the Fest List with all of our must-eat items from the Festival (c’mon Frothy Ramen!) but we wanted to know what eats our readers can’t stop thinking about! So, we asked our Instagram followers, “What menu items do you hope return to Epcot Food and Wine this year?” And here were the most popular responses!
We have our sights set on the 2020 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. While the official dates and menus haven’t been announced yet, we’re already thinking of our dream food and beverage must-try list!
Unfortunately, we don’t know at this time if ANY of our favorites are returning this year. Since the festival dates and menus haven’t been announced yet, all we can do is cross our fingers, hope, and PRAY that these festival faves will return in 2020! So, let’s take a stroll down memory lane and look back on some of our most beloved Food and Wine Festival eats.
If you’ve been following our 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival coverage, then you may already know that there are currently over 30 food booths throughout Epcot right now that are cranking out some totally yum-worthy eats and drinks!
With SO MUCH to choose from, how do you decide what you’ll be noshing on? How about checking out some of the trendiest sips and bites at this year’s Fest?? Not sure what those items are? Well, allow us to give you the rundown of what hottest food trends are happening at this year’s Food & Wine extravaganza!
Welcome to another roundup of What’s New in Epcot!
Obviously, the BIG NEWS is that the 2019 Food and Wine Festival began yesterday, but we also found some other new things along the way!
We’ve successfully made it through the FIRST DAY of the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
From now through November 23rd, the Festival will offer a variety of culinary events around Walt Disney World’s Epcot. Of course, the bites and sips from the Food Booths are a festival highlight. Not sure what items to sample? Here are our Best of the Fest recommendations!
If you’re planning a visit to this year’s Festival, then you’ll want to start putting together your MUST EAT list… and that’s where we come in! The DFB Team taste-tested every item at the Festival to show you the items you can’t miss!
Are you ready? Because it’s time to DIG in!
Let’s start with warm cheese at The Alps! This one is an AJ favorite!! You guys know that I lived in Switzerland for a year, and raclette (melty raclette cheese poured over bread, boiled potatoes, gherkins, and other goodies) as a staple.
And Disney’s actually done a great job with it here! The half-wheel of raclette is melted right in the booth, and shaved off beautifully onto the veggies and bread. Pungent and delicious, this one is a must-do for my cheese-fans out there.
is serving a Spanish-style Paella with Botifarra and Roasted Chicken with a little bit of heat! Flavorful and cooked to perfection!!
If you’re looking for a larger portion, this is a great buy.
For Islands of the Caribbean, Jerk-spiced Chicken with Roasted Sweet Plantain Salad and Mango Chutney Yogurt is a stand-out!
While this dish hasn’t wowed us in previous years, this time around the chicken is cooked on an outdoor grill! You WILL taste the difference. It was a DFB team favorite!
For a refreshing beverage, stop by Joffrey’s for a Citrus Sunshine in Canada. Opt for this drink over the Aulani Sunrise at Hawai’i.
At the Odyssey cart by Joffrey’s, we like the Chai-quila.
At Australia, the Roasted Lamb Chop had great flavors. It’s a twist on the lamb chops of the past at this booth and we loved the update.
For a not-too-sweet dessert, one member of the DFB team really enjoyed the lightness of this option.
The Spicy Hummus Fries at Morocco were delicious, as always, even with the sauce update — we needed more sauce, though!
The flatbread (it was a taco) had a really good kick to it!
Let’s look at two returning favorites. First, The Cheese Studio is worth a visit for the Maple Bourbon Boursin Cheesecake.
This creamy, decadent treat is made better-than-your-usual-cheesecake (and that’s saying something!!) thanks to that hint of bourbon in the caramel sauce.
BUT, the Sparkling Blueberry Wine by Florida Orange Groves Winery wowed us again! [Read more…]
TODAY is the opening day of the 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival!
We’ve already tried allll the new menu items from every single food booth, so we decided to take on a new challenge — Emile’s Fromage Montage!
