The LAST DAY You Can Take Disney World’s Magical Express to the Airport

It was announced earlier this year that the Disney Magical Express would be discontinued in 2022.

We’ll miss you, Magical Express

This means there will no longer be free transportation between Orlando International Airport at Walt Disney World. We’ve already seen signs for the service disappear at some Disney hotels, and seen one of the buses for a replacement service in Disney World. The service was set to be discontinued on January 1st, 2022, but we just got an update on when the actual last ride will be for the Disney Magical Express.

Comparing the 2 Disney World Magical Express Replacement Services

Disney’s Magical Express was discontinued at the start of 2022. That means if you’re visiting Disney World this year, you’ll need to figure out another way to get to and from your Disney World hotel and the Orlando International Airport.

You could use a rideshare service, a taxi, a rental car, a private car service, or several other options. Two BIG options you might also be considering are Mears Connect and The Sunshine Flyer. And there are a LOT of changes coming to Disney World in the New Year. We’ll see the grand opening of the new Star Wars Hotel, the opening of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride, and the end of the Magical Express. The Magical Express is the complimentary transportation service to and from Orlando International Airport for guests staying at Disney World resorts.
