This coming Sunday, April 22, 2018, marks the 20th Anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
The celebration is also the kickoff of the park’s annual Party for the Planet, which will expand to run for two weeks this year (through May 5th) to recognize the milestone anniversary.
And what’s a party without CAKE? Or cupcakes, more specifically, if you’re in Disney World! Look for Earth Day Cupcakes and Tree of Life Cupcakes at counter service locations like Creature Comforts, Pizzafari, Flame Tree Barbecue, and Restaurantosaurus.
April 22, 2018, will mark the 20th Anniversary of the opening of Disney’s Animal Kingdom! And the park will mark the occasion by expanding the annual Party for the Planet for 2018 into a two-week celebration featuring unique PhotoPass opportunities, backstage experiences at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, 20th Anniversary merchandise, specialty food offerings around the park, and more. Tiffins Talks will also be part of the event.
These dining experiences at the park’s signature restaurant, Tiffins, are currently available for booking on select nights from April 22 to May 5, 2018. Guests will listen to animal and conservation experts (including Imagineer Joe Rohde on April 25th) while enjoying a four-course meal comprised of specialty food and beverages that will complement the evening’s topics, which can be seen below!

If you are looking for an eclectic meal in the heart of Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom, Tiffins could be the right choice. Open just under two years, Tiffins is a Signature Dining experience — which means it requires two Disney Dining Plan table service credits (or quite an investment from your wallet).
But guests agree that dining in Tiffins is as much about the atmosphere as it is the food. The restaurant is inspired by travel and the wonderful adventures that take place when one steps out of one’s comfort zone. You’ll see nods to travel quite literally everywhere — from wall to wall. You’ll also find love for animals and conservation in the artwork at Tiffins, in keeping with the Park’s theme.
The food at Tiffins is an interesting blend of flavors and ingredients from around the globe, and it’s generally enjoyed by guests who yearn for something adventurous in their dining. Tiffins, and her sister Nomad Lounge, adjust their menus with some regularity (particularly on the Small Plates menus), so if you plan on dining here, you’ll want to keep an eye on the menus.
