NEWS: Tokyo Disneyland Announces Another Extension to Closure

Earlier this week, it was announced that Shanghai Disneyland will reopen on May 11th, and just yesterday Walt Disney World announced that Disney Springs will begin a phased reopening of the shopping and dining district on May 20th. However, aside from Shanghai Disneyland, all other Disney Parks remain closed until further notice due to the current global situation.

And an update on the Tokyo Disney Resort website reveals the closure of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea remains extended. While no official reopening date had been proposed, the website previously stated that a reopening date announcement would be determined in mid-May. [Read more…]

Perhaps you’ve head the BIG NEWS already… Disney has announced that Shanghai Disneyland will reopen on May 11th!

Of course, in light of the global situation which has resulted in closures of Disney Parks around the globe (with all others remaining closed until further notice at this time), today’s announcement brings further questions regarding HOW the parks will operate upon reopening. What Has Reopened On Disney Properties So Far?!

For the first time, all of the Disney Parks are closed along with other locations like Disney’s Aulani Resort and Disney’s Vero Beach and Hilton Head Resorts.

NEWS! Tokyo Disneyland Set to Close Saturday Until Further Notice

Due to growing concern over the coronavirus outbreak, Tokyo Disney Resort will be closing its doors this weekend.

According to The New York Times, the Japanese theme parks Disneyland and Disney Sea are expected to remain closed until March 15th. [EDITOR’S UPDATE: Please note that, as of April 8, after additional extensions to the closure it has been announced that a new reopening date will be determined in mid-May.]

It looks like Andy from Toy Story is going to have another place to play… because a Toy Story Hotel has just been announced for Tokyo Disney Resort!
