Tokyo Disney Resort is in for a big year in 2024.

Tokyo DisneySea is getting an eighth port — Fantasy Springs. This new addition to the park is set to open on June 6th, 2024, and will include three themed areas and a Disney hotel. Soon, visitors of the park will get to check out Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest, and Peter Pan’s Neverland, and stay at Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel. Now, there’s a new reason to visit Tokyo Disney Resort next year — a big change is coming to Space Mountain at Tokyo Disneyland!

We’ve shared the amazing popcorn buckets from Tokyo Disney Resort. You’ve seen the incredible attractions you can ride at Tokyo Disney. Who among us hasn’t dreamed about trying all those adorable Tokyo Disney snacks? Well, Disney’s latest announcement just might give you a few new reasons to book a trip to Tokyo.

We’ve seen Disney attractions grow, change, and evolve over time. Some attractions have been completely re-themed, while others have received smaller updates. From total tear-downs to teenie tiny changes, the Disney parks are a constant work-in-progress; and we have a feeling that’s exactly what Walt Disney wanted for his parks. Most recently, Disney announced that Splash Mountain is being reimagined as a NEW attraction known as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, based on The Princess and the Frog.

In January 2023, Splash Mountain closed in Disney World, and construction is already underway for the new attraction. Then a few short months later, Disneyland’s Splash Mountain also closed down for good. You may have thought that these closures marked the official end of Splash Mountain, but there’s still one place where you can ride Splash Mountain. Let’s talk about it.

Tokyo Disneyland opened up back in 1983, and many of its opening day attractions are still running to this day!

The resort recently celebrated its 800 millionth (!!) guest, opened up a brand new immersive Toy Story Hotel, and even debuted a new Beauty and the Beast ride a few years ago. But, the changes aren’t done yet — now Tokyo Disneyland is gearing up to refurbish an iconic Disney attraction and land that’s been around since the park first opened!
