Welcome to another roundup of What’s New in Magic Kingdom!
It was a stormy day in the Kingdom, but we still explored the park for all the food, construction, and merchandise updates we could find!
We love to dress up our theme park attire in any way we can, which is why we were thrilled with what we found at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom today!
Pull out one of your old denim jackets, and get ready to go to infinity and beyond in a galaxy far, far away with the latest Disney merch! Toy Story, Star Wars, and Mickey Balloons patches have been spotted at Mickey’s Star Traders!
Get your party hats and some streamers, because we’re about to have a welcome home party!!
There has been a lot of construction going on in Disney World currently, especially the Magic Kingdom. With the Cinderella Castle Walkway and the Tron Coaster under construction, we weren’t surprised to see that Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe was getting refurbished. However, our favorite DJ went missing in the process. But, we have the best news…
Come rain or shine, we’ll still be hitting the parks in Disney World!
Except, you know, we might need to pack a few extra supplies — umbrellas, sunscreen, maybe even a jacket. Now, you can stay cozy AND stylish in the newest line of windbreakers hitting the parks. Anybody got some parachute pants and a fanny pack to complete the look?
Star Wars
seems to be all the talk lately with the soon to be opening of Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios and the mega announcement of the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opening dates for both Disney World and Disneyland. And following suit, it seems as if a popular Star Wars overlay might be sticking around a bit longer than expected.
It’s no surprise that guests love Hyperspace Mountain in Disneyland. This Star Wars-themed overlay allows guests in Disneyland to be a part of the Star Wars universe in a unique way as they fend off crossfire from starfighters and TIE fighters.
We’re baaaack… And, with an all new What’s New at Magic Kingdom too (aw yeaaah!).
We have LOTS of construction, merch, and food updates for ya, so let’s take a quick trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Wow, it’s been a summer of sign updates! And now we’ve got another one in Disney World’s Tomorrowland.
After a few new paint jobs within the land, we’ve now noticed that the whole dang SIGN is gone!
Help! We’ve got ourselves a Code 2319! A cone 2319, that is!
That’s right, the newest character cone to arrive in Magic Kingdom is the 2319 Cone!
We have a LOT of ground to cover in this week’s What’s New in Magic Kingdom! We caught up with construction updates, found a delicious new sundae (and more cold treats), and noticed SO. MUCH. MERCH!
We were greeted with rainy weather during our visit, but the gloomy skies didn’t stop us from exploring and enjoying the Most Magical Place On Earth. Let’s get started!
We know that many of you planned your Disney World vacation BEFORE the Galaxy’s Edge dates were released, so we want to do our best to help you navigate and alleviate the stress of some of those crowds! If you’re a morning person then you’re in for a treat with new EXTRA Extra Magic Hours! Not sure what that means? No problemo — we’re gonna tell you all about it!
Regular Extra Magic Hours allow Disney World hotel guests to access the parks with low crowds first thing in the morning to enjoy the cooler temps, shorter lines, cool photos with fewer guests, etc. Now…you HAVE to be staying at a Disney resort in order to have access to these Extra Magic Hours. This is one of the many perks that Disney puts in place to get you to stay at one of their hotels over off-property hotels.
So, what are Extra Extra Magic Hours and why were they created? Well, Disney often has Extra Magic Hours, but these are typically just an hour or two in the morning or evening at the parks. Extra Extra Magic Hours are additional park hours that have been added for resort guests DAILY.
Our guess is that Disney has done this to try to alleviate some of the Galaxy’s Edge crowds since an insane amount of guests will be heading to the parks for the opening of the new land this fall. Galaxy’s Edge is set to open on August 29th, which is why the Extra Extra Magic Hours will be offered every day starting September 1. They will continue until November 2, 2019, at the following theme parks and times.
