Change is inevitable in Disney World
New attractions open, while old ones close. There’s always some kind of construction going on. That’s all part of Walt Disney’s original vision, after all — parks that change and expand and grow with the times. So one thing we can be sure of in 2023 is that there’s going to be even MORE change from 2022.
There are several things we’re DREADING about Disney World in 2023, like surge pricing, larger crowds, and several major ride closures. But there are also many ways in which Disney World is going to be BETTER than ever in 2023.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ is a brand-new Table Service restaurant coming to Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Many guests are excited for another sit-down option in Hollywood Studios, and Disney has released plenty of concept art (like the image above) that has given us an idea of what to expect. We just got word on the opening timeline for this new spot, and now we have a first look at what the inside will look like!
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Roundup Rodeo BBQ will open on March 23, 2023!
There are some things that Disney just doesn’t talk about — like upcoming projects that have unknown fates (cough cough, the EPCOT transformation).
Toy Story Land
For a long time, the table service restaurant previously announced for Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios (Roundup Rodeo BBQ) was included in that unknown category. It was supposed to open in 2020, but we all know how 2020 went, so the opening was delayed. The status of the restaurant remained a mystery until recently when Disney said it would be opening in 2022! We still didn’t know when exactly the restaurant would be opening…UNTIL NOW.
Coming to Disney World is a NEW restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Roundup Rodeo BBQ will be the newest addition to Toy Story Land, featuring a “barbecue-forward” concept, where guests will be surrounded by Andy’s play sets. We don’t know a whole lot about this new restaurant yet but Disney recently gave us a bit of a sneak preview and here’s what we noticed!

Disney World is, of course, decked out for the occasion with massive trees, gingerbread houses, and treats. Speaking of treats, we know that many of our readers are diehard fans of the Lunch Box Tarts from Woody’s Lunch Box. If you are one of those people, then you’ve got to keep reading because a NEW one was just released in the parks.
Disney World entertainment was hit pretty hard following the COVID-19 closure in Disney World.
Slinky Dog Dash
Over the last few years, we have slowly seen the entertainment we were once used to in 2019 trickle back into the parks. For example, the princess character dining location known as Akershus has just now reopened, and Fantasmic! officially reopened this week as well. Now, some street performers are making their way back to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
