Ever wanted to take a train from Orlando International Airport directly to Disney World? Well, eventually you might be able to! Brightline is currently working on plans for a train that is set to connect the airport and Disney Springs.

This train was originally targeting a 2023 opening date, but that has now potentially been pushed back all the way to 2026. We’ve looked at how much the train might cost, how Disney might get you and your luggage from the train station to your Disney hotel, and other things. Could the Airport Train to Disney World Be Delayed Until 2026?

If all goes to plan, we could be riding a train from Orlando International Airport directly to Disney World in the future.

But, that’s the thing — there’s still a LOT left to plan. Recently, we shared that one division from the State of Florida essentially set a deadline for Brightlight to meet when it comes to some necessary agreements and plans for its route from the airport through a Disney station and on to Tampa. Well, the way you get to Disney World might be changing soon. Last year, Disney announced that its Magical Express transportation would be discontinued beginning in 2022. But, a Brightline train is set to connect Orlando International Airport to Disney Springs, and was originally targeting a 2023 opening date. There are quite a few construction projects going on all over Disney World including TONS of work happening as part of the EPCOT Transformation, new stores and restaurants being built in Disney Springs, and los of construction going on near the TRON coaster.

A high-speed rail service is currently being built from South Florida to Orlando International Airport. Last year, there was some talk about Disney World potentially getting a direct train from the Orlando airport, and now a deal has been reached that will make that a reality!
