Greetings from high up above on the Disney Skyliner!
We climbed aboard Disney World’s newest transportation system for the first time since mid-March and we’re sharing all the details when it comes to a post-closure ride in the sky!
We’ve got another BIG transportation update for ya, and this one’s a bit of a doozy!
Moments ago, we told you Disney Skyliner would be loading only one party per gondola and that Disney World’s parking lot trams would be unavailable when the parks reopen.
Moments ago, we learned Disney World’s parking lot trams will not be operating for the time when the parks reopen.
And while Disney World has previously announced Disney Skyliner service will resume on July 15th, they’ve just announced a new important safety detail!
With Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom set to reopen to the general public this Saturday, July 11th, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT following next week on July 15th, we’ve been closely monitoring all the official statements Disney World has released about which transportation services will be available to guests.
Previously, we confirmed that monorail and ferryboat service to and from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom will resume earlier than originally projected and in time for the Annual Passholder previews scheduled for July 9th and 10th. Disney World Annual Passholders, however, will be required to provide their own transportation to the parking lots and parking lot tram service will not be running.
Now that we’ve experienced our first trip back to several Walt Disney World hotels as Disney World continues its phased reopening, we’ve picked up a few handy tips for you!
We would never have thought of many of these helpful tidbits before we arrived, so if you’re heading to a Disney World hotel soon, we really want you to know what we DIDN’T know going into our resort stay!
There’s a lot of moving and shaking happening at Disney World right now as the theme parks’ phased reopening approaches. Can you believe it’s less than two weeks away?!
Earlier today, we learned when guests can expect to ride Disney World’s monorail and Skyliner gondola system. And thanks to a reader, it looks like we might know more details regarding Disney World’s ferryboats soon!
Update: Disney has recently stated earlier reopening dates for transportation services than were previously given. Guests attending Annual Passholder previews will be able to ride the Monorail and Ferry Boats to and from the Ticket and Transportation Center and Magic Kingdom starting July 7th. Tram Service will not be available from the guest parking lots.
And if you were lucky enough to snag a spot, we want to share with you all of the important details you’ll need to know if you’re going!
Now that we’ve used Disney World’s new Mobile Dine Check-In and experienced our first character meal (all while navigating Disney’s new Park Pass Reservation System which launched today) we’ve had a little time to go diggin’ around for more details regarding Disney World’s phased reopening!
We’ve just learned that unlike Disney World theme park guests, resorts guests will not be required to undergo mandatory temperature screenings for the time being.
Have you ever dreamed about bringing your ENTIRE family to Disney World?
You know, your grandparents, your spouse, the kiddos, and even the furriest members of your family?
We were just about to leave Disney Springs this afternoon when something caught our eye!
And while it might not be as fancy as other modes of transportation such as the monorail or Disney’s Skyliner gondolas (which we’ve also seen out-and-about recently!) it gets the job of gettin’ around at Disney World just as well!
