We’re back with What’s New at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this week, and it includes several menu changes, tons of cool merchandise, and a peek at current Toy Story Land and Skyliner construction (read more about the Disney World Skyliner here!)! Then, we’re skipping over to Art of Animation and Pop Century for a quick look at What’s New at the resorts! So put on your fancy pants, and let’s get our glamour on!
Disney World’s Iconic Carrot Cake Cookie Sees Big Changes!
We’re not really sure how to tell you this, so we’re just gonna come out with it: Walt Disney World’s beloved Carrot Cake Cookie has been ‘updated.’ Changed. Reinvented. Altered unnecessarily. However you say it, the truth remains: the Carrot Cake Cookie as we knew it is no more.
Let’s get into this. You can still find the Carrot Cake Cookie at Trolley Car Treats — Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Starbucks location. (Since Sweet Spells closed a couple of weeks ago, Trolley Car is the only location where you can pick up this popular treat!) It costs $3.99 (or a DDP snack credit), so it’s a relatively reasonable price.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Menus and Eats
At pop-up bars around the park, guests can order two new seasonal drinks. Baby Blues is comprised of Tito’s Handmade Vodka (SHOUTOUT AUSTIN, TX!), Bacardi Superior Rum, Tanqueray Gin, Blue Curacao, Sweet-and-Sour, and Sprite! And you get a glow cube, of course.
Green Screen is Absolut Pears Vodka, Midori, Pineapple Juice, and Sprite (again with a glow cube!).
(Anyone else as disturbed as I am on the pricing of these?)
Disney Food Video: GET THIS at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios is kind of the forgotten park right now in Disney World. So much construction. So many shuttered restaurants. So is it still even worth it to go? YEP! And when you DO go, we’ve got the list of what you need to be eating! Check out today’s DFB Video for the things you MUST eat when you visit Hollywood Studios!
There’s a lot to eat in the studios still, but some of it is just not worth the cost or the calories. Stick with our tips and you can rest assured you’ll be eating the best of the best.

Review: Frozen Summer Fun Treats and Eats in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Frozen Summer Fun
is back for a second year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, running June 17 through September 7, 2015. We’re sad to say that Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post did not return this year, so there’s no central location to find all of your Frozen eats; but a few of the featured items did return along with one or two updated treats.
Most of the Frozen Fun activities this year are located on Center Stage (where the hat used to be) and in the theaters located at the end of Hollywood Boulevard.
Let’s take a look at some of the goodies.

Tips from the DFB Guide: The Best Spots for Coffee and Tea in Walt Disney World
Just a couple of years back, if you wanted to get a decent cup of coffee or tea somewhere inside the Big Purple Gates, you were out of luck.
With Nescafe on standby in most spots, the coffee outlook was dismal. And while Twinings teabags are available all over the place, there still wasn’t anything special about them.
But in the last few years, Disney has really stepped up their game in both the java and cuppa departments!
Today, we’re sharing one of our favorite tips from the DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining — Where to Find Good Coffee and Tea in Walt Disney World.
Starbucks
By far, the biggest beverage news to hit Disney in the last few years has been its partnership with coffee giant Starbucks. Love them or hate them, you can’t dispute — they’re super popular.
Seriously…there’s a reason for the queue ropes inside! Have you seen a Disney Starbucks on a busy morning? Madness!
The first two Starbucks to open in Walt Disney World replaced established eateries — Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom and Fountain View in Epcot. Now you can stroll right up to Cinderella Castle with your Vanilla Latte in hand, or enjoy your Frappuccino in the shade of Spaceship Earth.
Two additional stores are located in Downtown Disney — one walk-up window nestled between entrances to World of Disney and a larger store in West Side, which boasts a Starbucks Reserve Counter.
Trolley Car Cafe, the Disney’s Hollywood Studios Starbucks outlet, opened a couple of years ago, bringing the famous mermaid to Hollywood Boulevard.
And shortly after Trolley Car threw open its doors, the final Walt Disney World store opened in Creature Comforts in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Aren’t a fan of Starbucks? Joffrey’s is considered the “official” coffee of Disney World and still operates a number of kiosks throughout the Parks, where you can grab a cup of coffee or a selection of espresso drinks.
Great Spots for Tea
If you prefer tea to coffee, there are also some great spots for you to enjoy a cup. And we aren’t just talking about your grandmother’s cup of tea. 🙂
One of my favorite spots for tea is the [Read more…]
