Going to Disney World over a holiday is a double-edged sword.
On the one hand, you can take time off of work and school, plus sometimes you can find travel deals to take advantage of. On the other hand, everyone else is thinking the same thing!
Are you ready?
If you’re heading to Disney World soon, beware! The crowds are already starting to pick back up. We saw the highest price for Genie+ we have in WEEKS and that price is based on demand. We’ve also noticed more crowds in the parks as people flock to Disney World for the holiday weekend. Spring break is right around the corner as well. But what were the wait times like in the calm before the storm?
Happy Valentine’s Day, DFB readers!
We’ve been on a mission to try all the Valentine’s Day treats Disney World releases this month (and more are coming today!) and bring you our reviews of them all. Now that the holiday is upon us, let’s check out what the crowds are like in Magic Kingdom!
Although this is Disney World’s calm before the storm (the storm being spring break crowds), there are plenty of reasons to visit the parks right now!
TRON Lightcycle / Run is now in previews with its first-of-a-kind Disney ride feature, adaptive seating, and on-ride photos. The Festival of the Arts is still happening in EPCOT (even though it’s almost over!). There are plenty of new delicious eats to try all over Disney World. Maybe that’s why we started to see the wait times go UP this week!
If you’re heading to Disney World, there are a lot of things that might put a damper on your vacation.
We’ve been unexpectedly sick in the parks before, been caught in terrible weather, and missed our fair share of dining reservations and Lightning Lane windows. But on top of all that, we often see unexpected ride closures — and today there were quite a few!
When is the BEST time to go to Disney World?!
Well, the answer all depends on YOU. Do you want to avoid crowds at all costs? Don’t visit during spring break. Do you want to be a part of the action when a brand new ride like TRON Lightcycle / Run opens? Prepare to visit when the parks are busy. If you are someone who is seeking lower wait times on a Disney World trip, right now might be the best time to visit Disney World!
When it comes to visiting Disney World, planning ahead might be the best advice we can give!
Things are always changing in the parks and resorts, and no two days are alike. We keep up with all the changes so you don’t have to, and we recently shared that you might want to avoid Magic Kingdom today as it’s closing early — but there’s actually a reason you might WANT to visit Magic Kingdom today!
We’ve had another BIG week of Disney news!
Not only did the 100th anniversary celebration kick off in Disneyland, but we got some major announcements for TRON Lightcycle / Run which is set to open on April 4th, 2023. You may think this time between the holidays and spring break/TRON’s opening is slow, but the wait times are telling us otherwise.
If you’re looking to spend some BONUS time in the Disney World parks, you’re not alone!
Guests are constantly looking for ways to cram just a little bit more park time into their short vacations, and that prompts them to take advantage of resort perks like Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours. But if you’re willing to pay some extra cash, there are two different options you can check out that let you stay late into the night in Disney World!
Well, today is the day. The last day we’ll sing along to “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” and enjoy the antics of Br’er Rabbit.
That’s right — today is the day that Magic Kingdom’s Splash Mountain closes forever. We’ve already seen quite a few crowds in Disney World this weekend headed to ride the attraction one last time before it closes to be reimagined as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. But we’re live at Magic Kingdom RIGHT NOW on Splash Mountain’s final day.
