You may already be aware that Disney has announced that Disney’s Walk Around the World Bricks will soon be removed to allow for improvements for the comings and goings of guests.
The hexagonal bricks which you find along the walkways leading to Magic Kingdom and the Ticket and Transportation Center display the names of individuals and families who sponsored bricks as markers for special occasions or to “leave their mark” on Disney World. [Read more…]
Even if the specific name of “Disney’s Walk Around the World” doesn’t ring a bell with you, you may still be quite familiar with the sight of the hexagonal bricks displaying names and celebrating family milestones on the walkways surrounding Magic Kingdom and the Ticket and Transportation Center (the TTC).
As “improvements are being made to how you come and go at all four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks,” Disney has announced that the reconfiguring of walkways and tram loading and unloading zones (along with enhancements to security screening) will result in the retiring of the Walk Around the World bricks in the coming months.
