For instance, Annual Passholders who have paid in full are — as of yesterday — just starting to see their passes extended for the number of days that the theme parks remain closed reflected in their My Disney Experience account. Stores and restaurants have been slowly but surely opening places back up around Walt Disney World’s shopping and dining district, but once a store opens up, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to STAY open.
We are super hyped for all the things coming as a part of the epic EPCOT transformation.
While we may not be setting foot in EPCOT again until July 15th, Disney is still making progress on its new attractions and experiences in the parks. And, we’ve got some groovy news for all you Guardians of the Galaxy fans out there!
When Disney World theme parks reopen on July 11th, there are going to changes in MANY ways.
Fireworks, parades, and character meet-and-greets will be suspended when the parks reopen, and some modes of Disney transportation won’t be in use. For instance, Minnie Vans will be unavailable until further notice as Disney World.
Walt Disney World takes up thousands upon thousands of acres in Florida.
And it should come as no surprise that Disney has to pay a LOT of taxes on said acreage.
