NEWS: Disney Hotels Sharing Important Information Before Major July 24th Changes

For years, Disney World has experimented with different ways to skip the lines at its popular attractions. There was FastPass+, there were paper tickets and kiosks, and eventually, there was Genie+. These days, if you want to access the Lightning Lane (a.k.a. the shorter “express lane”), you need to pay an additional fee. As it stands currently (now through July 23rd, 2024), Disney Genie provides access to Lightning Lanes as well as other planning tools to help you maximize your time in Disney World. But soon, this service is changing.

In fact, BIG changes are coming to Genie+ at Disney World SOON! Starting July 24th, 2024, there will be an official name for the Lightning Lane service that is currently part of Disney Genie. Say hello to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass, an updated version of Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes. OK, this may sound confusing, but we’re here to help! Recently, it seems like Disney has taken a step to help clear up some confusion, too.

Dole Whip Day 2024: EXTREME Edition. We Tried NINE Treats in One Day 😱

What you’re about to see is a challenge of epic proportions. But for Dole Whip Day (July 18th), we pull out all the stops. We’re not afraid to take on the task, even if such an activity is probably easier when split between friends. When Dole Whip is involved, the gloves come off.

In honor of Dole Whip Day, we were invited to participate in Disney’s Dole Whip Dash. Think of it like a scavenger hunt, but just for Dole Whip treats. Now, THAT is a scavenger hunt we can get behind! But remember how we told you this was a BIG challenge? Well, you’ll understand why in a moment. We ate nine (!!!) Dole Whip treats in one day. Nine. Breakfast? Dole Whip. Lunch? Dole Whip? Dinner? You guessed it! Dole Whip! Dessert? Lobster Thermidor. Kidding! We had more Dole Whip. Behold — Dole Whip Day 2024: EXTREME Edition.

Disney Files New Permit for Test Track CHANGES at EPCOT

BIG changes are coming to a popular EPCOT ride. Every once in a while, Disney will take a classic attraction and give it a little update! Recently, two Magic Kingdom rides were totally revamped to include new characters, new music, and new designs. But now, we’re headed over to EPCOT to talk about something NEW that is in the works.

Disney’s Test Track ride has undergone several iterations since its introduction. Most recently, the ride was designed to simulate a series of tests with an innovative new car — hence the name, Test Track. But now, the ride is CLOSED. That’s because Disney has plans to update the attraction! So far, Disney has been pretty quiet about what is planned for the ride, but we do have an important new clue.

Disney World’s NEWEST Exclusive Lounge Is Now Open!

It wasn’t too long ago that we were introduced to a new limited-run nighttime show at Disney Springs that had swarms of people pooling into the shopping and dining district for a peek. We’ve also seen new summer menus for some of our favorite restaurants, savored a bunch of tasty treats made with genuine Florida ingredients, and had to part with a few stores — but that doesn’t mean that Disney World is ready to slow down with the changes just yet! You Won’t Believe What We Just Saw in the Middle of the Highway at Disney World 😱

When you’re driving through Disney World, you see all kinds of things that you don’t see on a normal highway. You might spot a Skyliner gondola above your car.
