in Disney Springs just announced they are hosting a wine tasting with Master Sommelier George Miliotes this Friday, July 20, 2018!

The event is a blind tasting of six wines presenting an opportunity to learn to taste wine like a Master Sommelier! “What’s a blind tasting?” you may ask. The identities of the wines you taste will be kept a secret until the end of the tasting. This method is used regularly by sommeliers to insure impartiality while evaluating a wine. [Read more…]

Wine Bar George Will Open Spring 2018
As you may already know, Master Sommelier George Miliotes was a member of the opening team at the Contemporary Resort’s California Grill, then managed the signature restaurant from 1995 to 2002. There, he worked with Ron Rupert, who was also a member of the opening team and has just been announced as the Executive Chef for Wine Bar George!
has been a long time coming.
Rumors started swirling in late 2015 around a new wine bar headed by Master Sommelier George Miliotes coming to Disney Springs. The rumor was officially confirmed at the Party for the Senses (an Epcot Food and Wine Festival Special Event) last fall.

Slated for a late 2017 opening, groundbreaking took place in December of 2016, and the walls surrounding the construction site (located just across the way from Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar and next to Raglan Road’s Hole in the Wall Bar) were covered with a display of the concept art for the space’s exterior.
