We’ve been so busy looking out for clues about the final stages of the EPCOT Transformation that a SECRET new Disney show snuck right in and shocked us ALL! Wait until you see what we found in the World Celebration Gardens at EPCOT.Â
We all have our favorite ways of bouncing around EPCOT while visiting the Disney World park.

It felt great to walk through the reimagined World Celebration gardens just before EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts kicked off and watch the lights on the ground coordinate with the music show on Spaceship Earth. BIG NEWS from Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons today! They dropped not one, not two, but THREE new Disney wedding updates! OK, we all dream about getting married at one of the iconic Disney World locations, and while we may not be able to actually afford a GIANT Disney wedding, we can always dream, right?

These updates include the addition of a NEW venue, NEW gowns, and a NEWÂ getaway vehicle! BRB — we are heading to update our Pinterest boards as we speak!
EPCOT has had a BIG week!
Dreamers Point
On December 5th, an all-new land opened in EPCOT, allowing visitors access to the World Celebration Gardens. Not only that, but a new Walt Disney statue debuted, Luminous: Symphony of Us lit up the skies for the first time, AND we got to check out the return of the glowing sidewalks! Only one thing was missing… the new festival area! CommuniCore Hall and Plaza were meant to debut in late 2023, but we found out in early December that the new festival areas would not be available until 2024. While we were disappointed, we were holding on to hope that it would be complete in EARLY 2024 — based on the visual state of the construction. Let’s check it out!
World Celebration Gardens have officially opened in EPCOT!
World Celebration Gardens
Here you can step into a serene city park-like area with beautiful green spaces and detailed planters. There are park benches, tables, and most importantly LOTS of charging stations. It nearly feels like you have left a theme park and entered a relaxing garden– which is very close to Walt’s original dream for EPCOT. But there are a few big hints that remind you that you are, in fact, still in a Disney park.Â

When EPCOT first announced its transformation, we learned that the park would be split into four neighborhoods — World Nature, World Showcase, World Discovery, and World Celebration. We’ve been able to fully explore three out of those four lands for a while, but we’ve been waiting for a large portion of World Celebration to reopen for YEARS. And if you’ve been itching to walk through the middle of the park again, we have great news!

December 5th marks a milestone in EPCOT’s transformation process! A lot is happening inside the park and we noticed that it has caused a change in Disney’s app. Let’s take a look at what’s been updated!

Walt the Dreamer Statue
December 5th marks Walt Disney’s birthday, and in honor of the man who started it all, Disney chose the day to officially open a NEW area of EPCOT. The World Celebration Gardens and Walt the Dreamer Statue are two brand new additions to the park — part of the transformation that has been in progress for the past few years. Now, the area is officially open to guests, and of course — there’s a new park map to feature the new areas.
What an incredible morning! We got the chance to go behind the walls in EPCOT to watch the dedication of the NEW World Celebration Gardens and Walt the Dreamer Statue!

A little background for ya: you know how for the past, like, four years you haven’t been able to see the center of EPCOT because construction walls were up everywhere? Well, we are finally coming to the END of a long, hard road my friends, and EPCOT is starting to open back up!

Over the years, we’ve gotten to try out Connections Eatery and the Creations Shop, rode (and gotten sick…and then rode again) Cosmic Rewind, and journeyed through water with Moana. But, today, a brand new part of EPCOT was dedicated and we’ve got all the details.Â
It’s hard to believe, but the EPCOT Transformation is almost finally complete!
