In the early evening last Friday Disney announced a MAJOR change to their mask rules. Over the past few days, we’ve also seen changes made to social distancing, the early phasing out of temperature checks, the reopening of several restaurants, and more big news. Today we’re breaking down ALL the Disney news from this past week that you need to know!
For months, we’ve been monitoring the reopening guidelines in California and seen how Orange County, where Disneyland Resort is located, has progressed through California’s reopening tiers.

Most recently, Orange County was in California’s Orange Tier, but now things are changing in a way that could cause increases in capacity at Disneyland.
We’ve been following Disneyland’s phased reopening very carefully.
Disneyland
The parks reopened with limited operations and capacity on April 30th, and since then, we’ve slowly seen more experiences return. Now, during the DisneylandForward conference, we’ve gotten a better idea of what capacity and regulations could look like in the future.

California Beach
Disneyland reopened last week, and as vaccinations continue throughout the state, other restrictions are being lifted. In early April, California made big changes to the guidelines that dictate these restrictions. And now, we’re seeing the new guidelines in action.
