We’re here to share a BIG Disney World update!
Toy Story Land
Since the parks reopened last summer, Disney World has been operating at a limited capacity. This ensures that all guests are able to uphold Disney’s health and safety procedures as best as possible, especially social distancing. Park capacity has increased since the reopening, from 25% to 35% back in November. And today, we learned that park capacity is increasing again!
Back in February, the Walt Disney Company revealed its financial standings after experiencing extreme losses amidst the closures of 2020. The Q1 Earnings Call for 2021 detailed that Disney lost billions of dollars. Yet, things have been looking up as of late as Disneyland has reopened and plans are in place for a hopeful reopening of the Disney Cruise Line.

We’ve previously seen the CDC relax guidelines as states move towards a full reopening. Today, the CDC changed mask recommendations entirely for fully vaccinated individuals, stating that it is considered safe for those people to forgo masks both indoors and outdoors. And in response, President Joe Biden has issued a statement.

Us too! We’re especially excited for the next show to drop. Loki starring Tom Hiddleston is set to debut on June 9th and we can’t WAIT to see the antics of the God of Mischief. Now, Marvel’s got a pretty great way to gear up for that premiere!

The parks reopened with limited operations and capacity on April 30th, and since then, we’ve slowly seen more experiences return. Now, during the DisneylandForward conference, we’ve gotten a better idea of what capacity and regulations could look like in the future.
We’ve seen lots of policy changes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As states are moving towards reopening, there have been shifts in CDC guidance and other rule changes. Recently, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis passed an executive order suspending all local COVID-19 restrictions. And now, he’s signed another bill that will impact the state post-pandemic.
