Guests who venture to Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu will be stepping into the Star Wars universe, not just into a land in a theme park. And newly released information promises some serious guest immersion experiences we haven’t seen before.
Blooloop.com shares insights from Imagineers and Disney executives that show just how many different methods of immersion have been packed into Galaxy’s Edge.

Have you ever noticed the stunning Venetian masks when strolling through the Italy Pavilion at Epcot? The masks that fill the walls are always so intricate and ornate, we love to look at all the details.
Well…now you can create your VERY OWN Italian mask with the all-new paint-your-own-mask activity.
With the opening date for the live-action Aladdin film quickly approaching, we have started to notice new treats, like the Aladdin-inspired Milkshake at Disney Springs, the Aladdin cupcake at Saratoga Springs, and the Wish Granted donut in Magic Kingdom.
And the Aladdin craze seems to be continuing as we have also spotted a TON of new merchandise at Walt Disney World and Disneyland this week.
We’ve got another cupcake from Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All Star Music Resort for you today. We just reviewed the current Character Icon cupcake (a tribute to Aladdin‘s Genie), and now we’re back for the Banana Split Cupcake.
This one has graced the bakery case at Intermission Food Court for a little while now, so since it appears to be something of a hit we grabbed it on our recent visit.
Those layers of buttercream you see on the top are not simply for show. The different colors of icing are actually different flavors, too: chocolate on top, vanilla in the middle, and strawberry on the bottom to resemble the classic dessert sundae! [Read more…]

You know we at the DFB are always up for one, and a really terrific place to find cupcakes as of late is Intermission Food Court in Disney World’s All Star Music Resort, thanks to their monthly-rotating Character Icon cupcakes.
The current Character Icon cupcake, is — like many other snacks around Disney World recently — inspired by the upcoming Aladdin live action film. This particular cupcake appears to take its inspiration from Genie himself! [Read more…]
