There’s a lot going on in Epcot! World Showcase is getting ready for a new nighttime show after IllumiNations ends, Japan is welcoming a new table-service restaurant, France is adding a Ratatouille Ride and Beauty and the Beast attraction, and a Guardians of the Galaxy ride is coming to Future World. That means lots of construction, construction walls, scrims, and more around the park. We checked on the progress of all of these projects on our latest visit to the park.

With one of the more colorful construction walls in the park — the Guardians of the Galaxy ride is coming along with the conversion of the former Universe of Energy building into the queue building for the new ride.
There are two new limited time menu items at D-Luxe Burger, and we thought it was a lovely day to visit Disney Springs to try them!

Tonight we’re attending the Potion Purple Premiere Pop-Up Event for Disney World Annual Passholders to check out some of the new purple treats that will be available for purchase to all Magic Kingdom guests tomorrow.

This celebration of the latest color craze is the first of what will be several new pop-up shopping experiences which will be replacing the monthly Super Saturdays for 2019. (So, Passholders please note that there will be no Super Saturday in Disney Springs on January 12, 2019.) It’s definitely looking a little more artistic around Epcot this week as the park prepares for the opening of the Festival of the Arts next Friday, January 18! During our visit to Epcot this week we spotted the booths in the process of changing over from the Festival of the Holidays to the Festival of the Arts, as well as other sure signs a new Festival is about to begin!

Ooh, we love a burger and fries from D-Luxe Burger in Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs, and now the casual dining spot has added two limited time menu items!

The Caribbean Burger is a patty made with D-Luxe’s signature blend of meats, Chayote Slaw, Scotch Bonnet Pepper Aioli (!!), Fried Plantain, Lettuce, and Tomato. We’re loving the idea of spice from the Scotch Bonnet Pepper Aioli, and we’re intrigued by the plantain. 😉
