IMPORTANT UPDATE: Please be aware that, as of January 9th, 2024, Disney World no longer requires a Park Pass Reservation for most guests. Anyone who buys a regular date-based ticket from Disney (either on its own or as part of a vacation package) won’t have to reserve their park visit in advance. (Date-based tickets are what Disney describes as the “standard” ticket option offered to guests.)
For that reason, we are no longer monitoring Park Pass Availability as covered on this page from July 2020 – early January 2024 (when Park Passes were required). However, select guests including Disney World Annual Passholders and Cast Members STILL REQUIRE Park pass Reservations (with some exceptions). For more information, click HERE.
Historical Park Pass Information (July 2020 – Early January 2024)
When the Walt Disney World theme parks reopened to guests in July 2020, a new theme park reservation system debuted along with the reopening: the Disney Park Pass System. With just a few exceptions, guests are currently required to make a reservation in advance to any of the four parks — Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios — in order to gain entry.
One key tip…
One key tip to know is that holders of three ticket varieties — all Annual Passholders, Disney World Resort hotel guests, and general ticket holders — are able to view availability on the Walt Disney World website for the various theme parks prior to purchasing a ticket or attempting to book a reservation. Availability is viewable by the type of ticket guests hold.

What we’ve discovered…
What we have discovered, however, is that availability is quite subject to change! While availability for a certain park — or even up to all four parks — may dwindle quickly (especially for weekends or in-demand dates like holidays), at times Disney has also replenished availability for parks on select date ranges as well.
At the DFB, we have been monitoring Disney World Park Pass availability since the reopening of the theme parks and providing our readers with the latest information and updates.
