EPCOT’s World Discovery transports guests to the Final Frontier: SPACE!
In fact, this EPCOT neighborhood is home to the very first intergalactic world pavilion: the Wonders of Xandar pavilion housing EPCOT’s first roller coaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!
This neighborhood made its debut on October 1, 2021 (along with World Nature and World Celebration) as part of EPCOT’s historic transformation. (These three neighborhoods make up the area formerly known as Future World.)
Thrillseekers in EPCOT will find LOTS to enjoy here. So prepare for LAUNCH… into World Discovery!
World Discovery Attractions
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Cosmic Rewind takes YOU on an intergalactic adventure (by way of one of the longest indoor roller coasters ever built) with the Guardians of the Galaxy! Rocket, Groot, Drax, Gamora, and Star-Lord need YOUR help to save the galaxy!
With plenty of twists and turns, Cosmic Rewind sends guests on a thrilling high-speed journey through “space and time!” Find ALL the details about EPCOT’s newest ride HERE.
Height requirement: 42 inches
Ages: Tweens, Teens, Adults
Access: Virtual Queue for a Boarding Group and Lightning Lane Single Pass Access (pay-per-ride); Lightning Lane Premier Pass option
Test Track
Buckle up an put your own “SIM Car” to the test through rough terrain, bad weather, and other obstacles on Test Track!
Riders will reach up to 65 miles per hour as part of the ride’s high-speed finale.
NEWS: Test Track is being reimagined! The updated version of the ride will take inspiration from EPCOT’s previous World of Motion attraction! In fact, Disney explained, “Imagineers along with teams from Chevrolet are reaching back into history for inspiration – from the original World of Motion – and bringing that spirit of optimism to the next iteration of the Test Track attraction!” Be aware that Test Track is temporarily closed (as of June 17th), 2024 to begin the transformation, and it will reopen in 2025.

Mission: SPACE
Ready for your mission, astronaut? Your role as navigator, pilot, commander or engineer will help the crew accomplish your Mission: SPACE.
One of the great things about Mission: SPACE is that riders can choose a more gentle flight featuring lovely views of Earth (the Green Mission) or chase a bigger adrenaline rush on a journey to Mars (the Orange Mission).
Height requirement: 40 inches

Access: Standby Line; Lightning Lane Multi Pass Tier 2 option; Lightning Lane Premier Pass option
World Discovery Dining
Space 220 Restaurant takes guests on a dining adventure 220 miles above EPCOT!
Guests board an elevator that simulates real-time rocketing into orbit as they travel to the Centauri Space Station hovering above the Earth. Diners will take in daytime and nighttime views of Earth as they’re surrounded by a full panoramic view of space. Take a look INSIDE Space 200 HERE!
The Space 220 Lounge boasts its own food and drink menu inside the restaurant.
Uniquely, the lounge accepts Advance Dining Reservations for table seating, while guests who wish to sit at the bar may wait in a standby line for this popular lounge.
Open seasonally, Refreshment Station (previously known as Cool Wash) is a walk-up kiosk serving up frozen slushy drinks.
But unlike other slushy locations around Disney World, here at the Station guests can add toppings like Pop Rocks, gummy worms, and other candies to any slushy on the menu (for free)!
You’ll also find a Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea kiosk in World Discovery. (It’s one of four Joffrey’s locations in the park.)
All Joffrey’s locations serve specialty espresso beverages (hot or iced) and tea drinks any time you need a park pick-me-up.

Star Lord himself meets guests in EPCOT’s World Discovery, right near the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction!
