Thanks to my blogger buddy, Suzannah (of Zannaland.com), for sending along this new Magic Kingdom treat! Apparently, Mickey Mouse-shaped Rice Krispies Treats (or Crisped Rice Treats) aren’t enough for Disney fans anymore! Disney’s introduced what look like Rice Krispies Balls!
These bite-sized treats are being sold by the bagged-up-bunch in the Main Street Confectionery! You can even buy them decorated and drizzled with chocolate — yum!
Looks like a GREAT way to share this yummy treat between family members without having to buy everyone their very own Rice Krispies Treat Mickey bar. Good for the wallet AND the waistline. ;-D

OMG I love Rice Krispy Treats, they are so addicting. Last time I was at MK we got on of the big mickey shaped ones with the ears dipped in chocolate, it didnt last the night once we got it home lol
Holly says
Such a great idea – it makes them perfect for sharing!!
Janna says
Oh, how perfect this will be for us! My boys like the chocolate dipped ears on the Mickey treats – just the ears. When we checked out this week, there were at least 4 earless Mickeys wrapped in plastic. *sigh* I do hope they are still available for our (now) October trip!
AJ says
Janna — Me too, Me too! I hope they’re available in October. That’s hilarious about the earless Mickeys laying around the room 😀
Holly — It does make them perfect for sharing — and if you’ve had enough for the time being, wrapping them up and saving them is no problem!
Armand — Ha ha! They’re delicious, aren’t they?
Rachel says
i’ve had these before, and just as a heads-up to anyone buying these – these are NOT made with marshmallows! they’ve made them with what i think is corn syrup? i think they do it to make it kosher, but they are not the same flavor as regular rice krispies, or even the mickey head rice krispies that come on the stick or in the box. I just thought i’d point that out to anyone who is expecting the traditional flavor. The gigantic mickey head is made the same way.
Emily says
In the Confectionery kitchen, they are known as “ballitas”…for “little balls” 🙂
Emily says
And “whoa!” @ Rachel. They ARE made with marshmallows, as are the giant Mickey heads and all other krispies. Four ingredients: marshmallows, butter, rice krispies and MAGIC!
Anna says
Disney knows what sells. Every time I’m in a bake sale, Rice Krispies treats are the first to go — decorated or not.
Anastasia says
YUM!! The rice krispie treats at WDW are my favorite snack – even better in a bag of multiples!
Rachel, I’m not sure if you’re talking about this specific bagged version, but as far as I’m concerned, something is slightly different in their recipe than the (butter, marshmallow, krispie) version I have always made. And there is /no way/ they use real butter, quite sure that less-expensive margarine is the fat here! I was actually attempting to find the real WDW recipe and got to this article…I’ll keep looking 🙂
AJ says
Rachel and Emily — Thanks for clearing that stuff up! I’ll bet I’ll love ’em no matter what! And LOW-FAT! 🙂
Anna — I hear that. Isn’t it strange that they’re also some of the easiest treats to make? Why am I spending my time on multi-step cookie recipes?!
AJ says
Anastasia — Thanks for dropping by! Let us know if you find the WDW recipe.
Rachel says
@Emily – really?! you totally cant see them though! hm interesting i wonder why they taste different to me than the ones on the stick. maybe some have a different magic content! 🙂
Jon says
Please please tell me the Candy Palace on Main Street in DL will have these too. I know I’ve had the mouse shaped crispy treats on a stick from there…
AJ says
Jon — Not 100% sure about Disneyland, but I’ll know in less than 2 weeks! 🙂
angela says
does anyone have a recipe for the mickey mouse rice krispie
Disney Freak says
The reason that they taste different is because the add Vanilla.
betsey says
you mean we are supposed to share these:) just kidding they look great tho and now that you mention it i am going to try vanilla in mine just to see
Margie says
No…there is a definite, delicious difference between traditional Rice Krispie treats made with marshmallows and the Disney Rice Krispie treats. Traditional are white throughout from the marshmallow…Disney treats have little if any white. They also taste better! I’d LOVE the recipe.
Margie says
The Disney World Rice Krispie treats are most definitely NOT the marshmallow and butter recipe we all make at home. The taste is different, but mainly, the Disney World ones have a clear golden binder…it isn’t white like the marshmallow ones. Disney World Rice Krispie treats are delicious! I’d love the recipe! Anyone know it?
Margie says
Wanted!
Recipe for Disney World Rice Krispie treats…please?!?
