I have never been there, but am excited to try it out our next trip in May! I LOVE margaritas and I think the cucumber, jalapeno, and avocado margaritas all sound delicious!!
JoAnn says
I want to try the cucumber margarita. Any chance of the continuing Margarita Mondays past the dates published?
Jasmine Becket-Griffith says
I love Cava del Tequila – thank you so much for posting this! PS – do you think they meant March 5th? March 3rd is a Saturday (not that I have anything against Margarita Saturdays too, hehe)
AJ says
Amanda — You’re gonna love it! My recommendation is to go right when they open at noon! You miss a lot of the crowds that way.
JoAnn — I have no idea, but I sure will ask!
Jasmine — You bet! I’ll double check the dates! 🙂
AJ says
Jasmine — My guess is it IS the 5th!

I love the avocado marg. I’m stopping by this week and think I’m going to try my first tequila flight!
Alan says
Margarita Mondays in Mexico! Maybe it will be the start of things like Tom Collins Tuesdays in Typhoon Lagoon, Whiskey Sour Wednesdays on the Wildlife Express train …
AJ says
Valerie — Yay!! The tequila flight is great! Enjoy!
Alan — Ooh… I like the way you think! When are you going to write THAT guest author post for me! Let’s make some suggestions for Disney!

I am a huge La Cava fan! And , from my experience, all those margaritas on that Margarita Mondays list are regular menu items. So , I’d say – please don’t worry about missing them .
Now- the new Mexcal one I have yet to try ..as being very sensitive against red bell and green bell peppers then it may be one that I , sadly, have to say no to . (ps the food inside La Cava is great too!)
On another note- if LaCava does it special Tequila Tasting and Education during the Food and Wine Festival weekends again for 2012 -then , If you can make it to one, then I ‘d highly, highly recommend it .The education in the history of Tequila and plus the tasting are very much worth the price! cheers!

sorry- I forgot to answer the question – My fave drink at LaCava – very difficult-as I love good sipping Tequila with a passion!
Also -it’s not tequila sipping without sangrita -and La Cava has top notch sangrita that is super fresh and tasty. If you’ve never tried sangrita then ask the staff to let you try it and tell you how it is to be used.
1) a shot of Don Julio 1942 (this would be THE shot that you try to get an idea of how fine a liquor that sipping tequila can be- think of it like a cognac or other fine spirit. This shot is then what you can measure other tequilas by!)
Tied for 1) ANY Tequila (and I do mean ANY!) that Mr. Pepe (best bartender ever!) recommends to me . (this is how ai discover tequilas that are new to me!)
2) a flight of all 3 Don Julios – the silver , the reposado and Anejo ,likewise for a Herradura tequila flight.
3) a flight of margaritas ( they are all awesome- I prefer the Jalapeno, Cucumber, and Avacado ) .

We didn’t get to EPCOT for Margarita Monday but made it for Margarita Tuesday, hahah! We tried the jalapeno. It was yummy. There was a sign on the table that said if we followed them on twitter we would get free chips and queso. WE DID!
