Jennifer Girard says
I think I just died and went to heaven — Watermelon Passion Fruit Cocktail ! I must find that kiosk the minute we land – LOL !!!
Heather says
Very smart, Disney! I love gardens…but not as much as the idea of a Dole Whip “Floater”! They’re gonna bring in a whole different demographic and hopefully spread out the Food & Wine crowds while they’re at it!
Chuckie Blades says
I cannot wait this is my 5th year in a row attending Flower and Garden and I am more excited for this year than ever before because of the food!
mealtrip says
All the food looks great… especially since none of it is being photographed, in brown cardboard boat-plates!
AJ says
Jennifer Girard — Sounds awesome, right?!? Enjoy!
Heather — AGREED! I’m SO glad they’re doing this!
Chuckie Blades — Yay!! Can’t wait to hear what you think.
mealtrip — Ba ha ha ha!!! Don’t get your hopes up too high…
Marci says
Looks delicious!!! I’d LOVE to see some cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread added to this menu!
Kat says
I am so excited about this!! I’ve never been able to make it to Food & Wine Festival with my schedule but I LOVE the Flower & Garden Festival and usually time my vacations to it; these eats (and the drinks…yummy!) will make it even better!
wyndy says
^-^ yay nonalcoholic drinks that i actually want to try and not just chocolate milk or a juice box kinda thing
Mike says
How in the world will any human being be able to enjoy all of these new options and the Snack Attack??? Looks like more than 1 day in Epcot will be necessary!
Nate G says
I’m sorry, I stopped reading at “Dole Whip with Spiced Rum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” and booked a plane ticket. Now, someone pick me up off the ground please.
Marlena says
I am beyond excited to hear all of these yummy food options! My kids (two in college and one a sophomore in HS) finally have spring break off during the same week, so we decided to visit the last week in March. Although it’s a tough time to go with all the crowds, the spiced rum Dole Whip will make it all worth it! I was in WDW last year for my birthday and visited the Haiti booth – awesome drinks. This trip will be 10x as great food-wise! I cannot wait!!!!!
Galloping Gourmand says
Naturally the Dole Whip stands out, but also…
I may be just reacting to the wonderful picture of the Angel Food Cake, but it looks wonderful. None the less, that’s a dish I don’t recall showing up often at Disney and I’d like to see what they do with it. Heirloom tomatoes are nice, simple, and so refreshing.
I’d like to see them do more of this at the Flower and Garden Fest. I would love if they had a booth that highlighted great vegan dishes from plants you can grow in your garden.
chantel says
Ok you guys…make this food booth idea a smashing success so it’s still around for my F&G/SWW trip next year!! 😉
vanessa gordon says
I’ve already planned my Trip for the opening days, now I don’t need to plan ADR’s, I’ll just eat my way around the F & G Fest ! Thank you for the yummy photos- I also hope they skip those ugly brown cardboard boats…
Brooke says
I think this is pretty cool, and I really like the emphasis on Florida local! But that UK stop sounds pretty amazing, too! I can’t wait to check it out. We love F&G and it just got even better.
Lise says
AJ, Do you know if any of these items are gluten free? I would love to be able to try something. I’m pretty certain I will be enjoy the rum dole whip. Yeah!
Catherine says
Betting big bucks the portions will be smaller than pictured.
Carol says
I’m not going to WDW until Oct. for the Food and Wine Festival, but next year we are going to the Flower and Garden Festival. I hope they have this going on!!
[email protected] says
So excited about this!
Gia says
Dole Whip with rum float!!!!
Dani says
This is such a great idea. Lets be honest, Flower and Garden has always been second fiddle compare to its big brother Food and Wine. These season appropriate treats will drive attendance and hopefully room nights. I never book a hotel room to stay over for this festival, but this year I will
Mary says
Thought I posted, but must have been too excited to hit submit…
I’m excited for the Dole Whip and the new UK marketplace with Savories, Trifles and Tea.
Heck…I want to try them all.
Penny from Vermont says
Sliders and Dole Whip with Rum….oh my!
frank says
A note of caution . In my experience, there have been some logistical problems the first day or two of events that serve food (W/F for example). I like to skip the first several days when possible. Other than that. I can’t wait ! See ya there.
Maureen says
The Dole Whip and spiced rum will be a must for us to try!!
Trina says
Everything shown looks so yummy! A lot of the draw to Disney for us is the food, unfortunately. It never disappoints. Looking forward to trying EVERYTHING!
Dottie says
what are the costs for each sample at the Food Festival ?
Jennifer says
I can’t believe they are adding food to this festival now too! I think I’m more sad I found out after it ended though.
We’ve never gone due to the fact that I’m allergic to a bunch of flowers, but now we may need to try and find a way regardless. Time to look up what flowers are there in the first place >_>
I REALLY hope all of these booths return next year. They sound amazing (and I’ll be super sad if they don’t). Heck, some of these sound like stuff I’d enjoy even more than some of the stuff at the food festival 🙁
