You know how lots of Disney restaurants are doing dessert trios these days? Like, here are three little desserts instead of one big dessert? And you know how there’s always one or two desserts on that plate that you don’t really care about, but there’s one that you REALLY want to try?!?
Problem solved, say the Hollywood Brown Derby pastry chefs. CHOOSE WHICH ONES YOU WANT ON YOUR TRIO!!!!

Either way, I love the idea that you can choose the most compelling options from the menu for your trio. Hopefully some other Signature restaurants will take the hint and start doing this, too!

@ Georgeanne – Yes they are all available to the Brown Derby Lounge guests (i.e. outdoor lounge) as well!
These look amazing! Can’t wait for our meal there in April! One question – is this now the only dessert option, or can you still order full size versions of some of these? If my husband can’t get a full slice of grapefruit cake he will be very sad! For me though, I am definitely trying three desserts at once 🙂

I have the same question as Mirandamidas – this idea sounds cool, but I might actually prefer a full size serving of the grapefruit cake (or their surprisingly good cobbler).
As of Sunday 02/09/14 my waitress said the grapefruit cake was still available as a full-sized portion, but it is no longer printed on the menu. You’ll have to ask for it. Only the mini-desserts are listed, so it may only be a matter of time. You can select three mini-grapefruit cakes though! (I know, it’s not the same thing.)

Phew! Fingers crossed they keep the full size option, it is different having 3 small pieces or one big slice, particularly with the sauce to cake ratio. Thanks for the info, DH is much reassured!

I have got to try this on my trip! I’ve always wanted to try the grapefruit cake and this would be a great way to do it.
Is it possible to get a reservation and then only order dessert?
Andrew G — You can always get a reservation and just order dessert.
Does this mean no more white chocolate banana toffee tower?! I will be seriously depressed. That was my single favorite dessert in all of WDW.
