Today, we are excited to share details for the Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It! Workshops that will take place during the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
We now have details on the this hands-on, (fairly) low cost experience (woo!!!) that’s brand new to the festival. And just like the festival favorite culinary demos and beverage seminars, the Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It! Workshops will take place in the Festival Center.
Booking all of your favorites starts in just a few days — July 21st for the general public, and July 19th for Annual Passholders, DVC members, Golden Oak Residents, Tables in Wonderland Members, and Chase Disney Visa Cardmembers*!
We’re so excited to try this new offering for ourselves. Disney promises that this event will give guests a chance to “roll up your sleeves and learn some new techniques from the professionals. This new hands-on workshop series will give guests the opportunity to learn from the pros, whether it be cake decorating, garnishing, cocktail mixing, or a variety of other fun topics! ”

The cost for Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It! Workshops is $49 per guest, and the events feature a wide range of talent from the culinary world. One important thing to note: while Annual Passholders, DVC members, Golden Oak Residents, and Tables in Wonderland Members are eligible for $2 discounts on seminars and demonstrations held Monday through Thursday, we don’t think that discounts will be offered for Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It! Workshops. But we could be wrong. We’ve seen it published by Disney both ways. So ask for it — the worst they can say is no! 😀
Look for a wide range of culinary and beverage experts to share both their knowledge and their passion in these educational workshops. From Sushi 101 to Pasta Making to exploring Gin to Creating Amazing Pastries, there’s sure to be something for everyone!

These workshops sound great! Any idea how long they are? I want to see if it’ll fit in our schedule.
Mark says
Let’s see. My wife and I can spend $100 on a cooking class with Tony Mantuano at Portobello that includes lunch and great Italian wines or $100 for a session on how to make pasta. Tough choice? Sorry, just don’the see the value in these. Folks, while you are here check out the schedule at Publix Aprons Cooking School in Dr. Phillips. It’s just a couple miles away. Do note how many of the Epcot demos are being done by them. If you don’t care about money, then these demos will be fine. If you are on a budget, there are much better alternatives.
Carol says
$50 for pumpkin carving on cupcake decorations? Sorry Disney, but that’s just funny!
Tarantula says
If you’re waiting for early booking to open on the phones at 9, don’t! Haha. I just booked a “Mix It…” event online with zero effort, it was as easy as booking any dining reservation. Escape the stampede of the phone-lines, book online now before everyone discovers it’s open!! 🙂 Go go go!!
PS. Marie – The “Mix It…” events are supposedly 4:00-5:15, according to Disney’s website.
