Lisa R says
Do you know if there will be early booking for DVC, Disney Visa or AP members?
I am so excited!
Mark says
Very disappointing to see the culinary demos have virtually been eliminated. The festival special events are limited.
Jackie says
Hmmmmm, is it just me, or have they virtually eliminated the mixology seminars? There are a few whisky, a tequila and Ketel One, everything else is beer & wine.
Is there any reason for this? They used to have fantastic mixology seminars!
DFB Sarah says
Lisa R., all the information we saw yesterday did NOT indicate early booking for DVC/Visa/AP. The only specific notation we saw is for DVC members to call Member Services.
Dave B. says
DFB Team, Thank you for all the information. You mentioned the date the events are able to be booked, but what time? I looked on the Epcot Food and Wine page but there is no time listed there as well.
Pam says
I’m getting more and more disappointed with the concert series…Why cancel an event like Night of Joy when they are just gonna put them at Food and Wine it makes no sense. Not everyone practices the Christian faith and I don’t know half of those artists and had to google them. Why not bring back Fuel or Wilson Phillips or any other known great act?
Mary Ann says
I would like to make a reservation for a wine seminar in October. We have a group of 8 going. Does anyone know if the full $19 per person is due at the time of reservation? Or does it work more like the dining reservations where you use a credit card to “hold” your reservation?
Also curious if anyone knows what time on 5/15 you will be able to start making seminar reservations.
Thanks!
JDS says
Lisa R. – I believe that in previous years, DVC did not have early booking access, but did have a discount, so i had to call to reserve at the discounted rate.
SMS says
Lisa R. – Just talked to DVC member services and early booking call in time is 9 am on May 14 through member services line.
Carol says
Eat to the Beat – Disney picks the music based on who wants to come for the price they want to pay. Limits some of your options LOL!
Someone asked about paying for wine seminars. You pay for ALL Food and Wine events at booking and they are NOT refundable so make sure you know what you want to do.
DK says
I was told by Disney that the Candy Sushi event for 2019 will not open until May 30th.
DFB Sarah says
Thanks for the info about Candy Sushi!
Monica says
Anyone know why these events are NON refundable?
Jackie says
@Monica probably because it’s a nominal fee and it’s too much of a hassle for WDW to change & refund these small venues.
Monica says
Jackie – Thanks for a really good guess. The problem with that theory is the Sunday Brunch with the Chef is costing me $300 for 2 people. If my daughter can’t get off work, it will cost me $300 for 1 person. I obviously didn’t see this Non refundable polity when I booked. I thought it was just like all the ADRs.
Jackie says
@monica I was thinking about, obviously, the food & beverage seminars. I did not know that big-ticket venues were also non-refundable. But, I do believe Party for the Senses has always been non-refundable.
Can someone else go & split the cost? That’s awful. I think you should still attend.
May I ask did you book online or over the phone? If you booked over the phone, there’s a tape. If the CM did not tell you it was non-refundable, you may have a leg to stand on. Or find where it’s written on the Disney site.
Sorry this is what happened! Best of luck for a resolution.
Monica says
Jackie – “There is a Non-Transferable and Non-Refundable Cancellation Policy. Once booked, modifications are not permitted” I booked online. It is not anywhere n the description when you pull up the information of the events. I actually had to go back to the booking process to see it when you are making the reservation. This statement is on the final page before you hit reserve within the “Guest Policy” section. I have read this section before doing ADRs and thought they were all the same. I believe Disney is not only negligent but deceptive in not putting this policy in their event general information section.
Anna says
Is anyone having a problem with booking the Hibachi Experience. I have calling and I am getting mixed answers. Some say the event is filled while others day it is not open for booking yet. The event is $190 per person and I called on May 14 when they opened for booking and they said that it was already filled. I am having a hard time believe this. Does anyone have any information on this? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!
