It certainly looks like Alien Pizza Planet is here to stay in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland.
This spot, which was once Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port, was originally announced as a temporary dining experience during last year’s Pixar Fest… but the theming has stuck around far beyond the Fest.
So while it’s not a huge surprise considering how long the “temporary” overlay has remained, it’s now also been revealed that part of the current refurbishments to the space included the repainting of the Moonliner Rocket to feature the Pizza Planet logo.
The Alien Pizza Planet overlay to Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port is not the first of its kind. You know Red Rose Tarverne in Fantasyland? Well, that was originally the Village Haus, and Red Rose Taverne was likewise to be a temporary “pop-up” restaurant to celebrate Beauty and the Beast.
And now, well over two years later, Red Rose Taverne is still with us… just like Alien Pizza Planet, as it appears!
Currently, the Disneyland website is showing that Alien Pizza Planet will reopen from its current refurbishment beginning at 10:30 AM tomorrow, May 24th. So, head on over the grab a bite of pizza and check out the scene if you’re around tomorrow! And before ya do, make sure you check out our current Alien Pizza Planet review!
