The Epcot Festival of the Arts offers guests a variety of opportunities to channel their inner artist!

The 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts dates are January 17 through February 24, 2020.

Throughout the Festival’s run, Interactive Workshops and Paint with a Disney Artist Workshops focus on the Performing, Visual, and Culinary Arts, just like the Festival itself.

Interactive Workshops take place Friday through Monday from 1:30 – 2:45 PM. These sessions are $39 per guest plus tax, and Epcot admission is required but not included. Advance Reservations are highly recommended. Call (407) WDW-TOUR to reserve a spot. Interactive Workshop offerings change daily, and topics reflect a wide range including floral design, photography, ink and paint, 3D crafts, and more!

Paint With a Disney Artist take place on select Saturdays during the Festival of the Arts, and they allow guests to paint their own canvas under the guidance of a talented Disney artist!

These sessions are $259 per guest plus tax, and Epcot admission is required but not included. Classes may be held indoors our outdoors and participants will receive a light continental breakfast. Guests must be 12 years of age or older to participate. Advance Reservations are highly recommended. Call (407) WDW-TOUR to reserve a spot.

2020 Interactive Workshops

PRICE: $45 per person, plus tax

All appearances, presentations and events are subject to change without notice. All Interactive Workshops will take place in the World Showplace Events Pavilion, located between the United Kingdom and Canada pavilions.

Infinite Wisdom

Pack your palettes—and your appetite for knowledge—as accomplished Disney artists, Guest-perts and Cast Members impart their professional expertise during hands-on workshops. (Separate fee required.) Each session gives Festival Guests a unique opportunity to create original art and walk away with an enhanced skillset or new understanding of various techniques. Topics include character sketching, ink & paint, 3D paper crafting and everything in between!

Ink & Paint Animation

Presented by Lynn Rippberger, Disney Animation Ink and Paint Artist

When: Saturdays, 10:00AM
Each week, you’ll paint a different Disney character:

• Saturday, January 25, 2020 – Minnie Mouse
• Saturday, February 1, 2020 – Donald Duck
• Saturday, February 8, 2020 – Pluto
• Saturday, February 15, 2020 – Goofy
• Saturday, February 22, 2020 – Mickey Mouse

Many of Disney’s animated features were created with 2D Cel Animation. Learn about the history of 2D Cel Animation and paint your very own Ink & Paint Cel with one of Disney’s Ink & Paint artists!

Disney 3D Paper Crafting

Presented by Dave Avanzino, Dave Avanzino Designs, Inc.

When: Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 10:00 AM

You will create your own dimensional paper artwork. Learn techniques to cut, fold and add spacers to your work to create 3D Disney shadowbox art. You will have the opportunity to make your own framed magical masterpiece!

Gesture Drawing Basics: “Story Telling Drawings”

Presented by Todd Bright, Bright Animation

When: Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 10:00AM; and Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 10:00AM and 10:30AM

Come learn the art of quick sketching from a former Disney animator whose credits include The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan, Tarzan, Lilo & Stitch and Brother Bear. During this workshop you will create your own sketch to take home.

Animation 101: Flip Book Fundamentals

2020 Paint with a Disney Artist

Take advantage of this rare opportunity to learn from a talented Disney artist at either an outdoor or an indoor class. Whether you’re a seasoned painting veteran or have never picked up a paint brush, this experience is sure to leave you wanting to explore more about this beautiful art form.
