Last year, Disney shared that “‘O Canada!” — the Circle-Vision 360° film in Epcot’s Canada Pavilion — would be getting an update with new footage and an upgrade to the projection system.
Yesterday, as part of sharing information about the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival, the announcement was revisited.
“O Canada!” is a 14-minute 360-degree film located in the Canada pavilion at Epcot that highlights the beauty of Canada’s natural landscapes and architecture.
The company has shared that the “O Canada!” film location in the Pavilion will offer guests a place to relax and cool off during the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival, which begins on August 29, 2019, as behind-the-scenes work on the film’s transformation begins. Festival experiences in the area will include the new Appleseed Orchard Marketplace location — and you can see what they’ll be serving up here.
According to WDWMagic, the closure of the “O Canada!” film will take place on August 1st.
We’re excited to learn more about these changes and cannot wait to explore the new Appleseed Orchard Marketplace location along with the rest of the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival booths.

Nooooooo!!! My daughters love this and we will be there for their Birthday the 15-17. 🙁

I love “O Canada!” I can see why Disney would want to update the footage; things go out of date so quickly. But please, please keep Martin Short as the narrator/host. He’s wonderful.
Tanya says
Awe man! Totally stinks as we are taking our kids for their first time August 25 and we are from Canada. I wanted to show them this!
Kathy Witt says
When will it reopen? I was looking forward to the film in October.
Ret says
sorry to hear this; sincerely hoping that Martin Short is retained and that this fantastic film isn’t totally destroyed. We’ve scheduled a short trip in September to see IllumiNations one last time, as well as O Canada and Spaceship Earth. Sadly, our must do list just became much shorter.
Pike says
They should have Ryan Reynolds disguised as Deadpool narrate the new film since Marvel belongs to Disney and both Deadpool and Reynolds are Canadian.

Kathy, it’s expected to be down into late-fall/early-winter, but nothing has been officially announced. We’ll post when we know!
