Disney Dropped a FIRST LOOK at the New Character Coming to Disneyland

Have you heard? Someone is coming to Disneyland to reclaim the Millennium Falcon, and it looks like he’s already searching for it!

Earlier this year, Disney announced that a MASSIVE change was coming to Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge on April 29th. That change is that the characters and stories from the original Star Wars trilogy would officially be featured at the park. Well, Disney just shared a very first look at Han Solo and Chewbacca — want to see?

Starting April 29th, just in time for May the Fourth, Disney will be bringing in a “new point in the Star Wars saga like never before.” Guests will officially experience characters and storylines from Star Wars films and TV shows that have never been featured in the park, including A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Mandalorian, and more.

Of course, among those characters will be Han Solo, joining alongside his wookiee best friend and the Millennium Falcon. Disney just dropped a first look at the iconic character, and we’re SO EXCITED! Disney shared it on Instagram, and it looks like the captain of the Millennium Falcon immediately went to look for his ship. He found it, and he wasn’t pleased with how Chewy had been treating it. Some other characters that are coming are Princess Leia Organa (near the Millennium Falcon), Luke Skywalker (roaming the outpost), and Chewbacca. Darth Vader will also be coming to the land full-time. He’ll be walking around with Stormtroopers looking for any remaining Jedi.

Another big and underrated change coming to the land is the audio changes. On April 29th, you’ll be able to hear John Williams’ iconic Star Wars scores throughout the land. That’s right, we could possibly be hearing the “Main Title”, “Force Theme”, “Cantina Band”, and more. We can’t express to you what hearing “Across the Stars” would do to us!

We’re beyond excited for this change at Disneyland! This is something that fans have been wanting for a very long time, and now it’s finally almost here.
