One of my favorite parts of staying at a Disney World hotel is experiencing the incredible pool!

Fuentes del Morro Pool
Disney World is known for its large and well-themed hotel pools with water slides, splash pads, and more! But before you just pack your bathing suit, you’ll want to know these 5 unspoken dress code rules that Disney guests are following on vacation.
1. You NEED to Wear Shoes
When heading to the Disney World pools, the concrete and walking paths can get HOT! You’ll take about 10 steps outside before you regret that you went barefoot. I know it might seem like you don’t need shoes at the pool, but you absolutely should wear them to save yourself some serious pain.
These Crocs Women’s Kadee II Flip Flops are a great option. These have a nice textured grip in the footbed that provides comfort and prevents slipping while walking. For this sandal, if you’re a half size, Crocs recommend ordering the next full size up.
The Teva Women’s Original Universal Sandal has a water-ready polyester webbing upper that is extremely durable and dries quickly after getting wet. They come with an easy hook-and-loop closure that comes on and off quickly and gets the fit just right.
The kids need shoes too! These Disney Frozen Water Shoes are a great choice for the little ones. At the pool, your child can easily slip into these Frozen summer shoes. The closed-toe design with rubber sole offers quick-dry comfort after every splash.
2. Rashguards for Kids are Essential
It gets very hot in Florida, and one way to protect your kids is by using a rashguard! Instead of fitting to reapply sunscreen, rashguards provide that full coverage protection for little ones.
You can grab this Minnie Mouse Rash Guard Shirt on Amazon. These children’s UPF 50+ rash guards offer great sun protection, safeguarding your child from harmful UV rays during outdoor water activities. The elastic fabric detail not only enhances the style but also provides a secure fit, ensuring the swimsuit stays in place during all her energetic water adventures.
For boys, you can grab the Disney Mickey Mouse Boys Rash Guard and Swim Trunks. It contains a vibrant blue rash guard that features Mickey exploring the ocean depths, paired with playful swim trunks showcasing an all-over Mickey Mouse print. This is crafted from waterproof microfiber and equipped with UPF 50+ sun protection.
3. Don’t Forget Your Mickey Swim Gear!
Disney-themed swimwear isn’t just for the kids! You’re at a Disney World pool, you should rock your Disney pride. So go ahead and pack that Minnie Mouse bathing suit or those subtly Mickey swimtrucks.
The Disney Women’s Bathing Suit is on Amazon right now. This swimsuit features the iconic Minnie in her red dress and bow. You can find this in sizes small to XXL and for a great price.
For men, you should grab these Mickey Mouse PFG Rambler™ Swim Trunks for Adults by Columbia. Perfect for fishing, swimming, or just cooling off in the water, these special-edition PFG shorts are built for comfort. With UV-blocking, fast-drying material, they’ll keep you protected.
4. Don’t Forget Your Shirt!
While you might not need it in the pool itself, you might want to go inside the hotel store or quick-service restaurant while you’re by the pool. Shirts and shoes are required for guests going inside of a Disney World hotel, so be sure to pack them in your pool bag.
We love this Mickey’s Surf Club T-Shirt. This shirt gives pool day vibes, so you’ll fit right in at your Disney hotel pool. When you need it, you’ll be able to throw it on quickly and head inside without having to go all the way back to your hotel room.
5. You Will Need Sunglasses!
Finally, it’s Florida, it’s going to be sunny — Hellooooo Sunshine State! Why not let your kids rock these Sun-Staches Mickey Sunglasses! They are designed for a comfortable, secure fit that’s perfect for young Mickey Mouse fans. They can wear them to the pool or the theme parks all year long.
